We opened Pophams Bakery in October of 2017 with a passion to share the finest sourdough breads and the tastiest, most interesting pastries. We didn't want to create just another bakery or coffee shop - we wanted to bring something different to London.
Check out our menu options and you'll see that we aren't your typical bakery. We pride ourselves on creating unique pastries using fresh, seasonal ingredients. So pop in for a maple bacon croissant and a coffee made with love, or just pick up a freshly baked sourdough loaf of bread. Either way, we hope you like what we do as much as we do.
Pophams was started by Ollie Gold, who had previously spent years travelling around the world in hospitality working closely with food. Much of what you see in Pophams is inspired by different foods he has come across on his travels.
Head Chef Florin (left) starts baking as early as 2am to have fresh croissants and breads ready for our customers when our doors open. His passion and love for every croissant is the foundation of our delicious pastries.
Our head barista Fraser creates the kind of coffee that makes waking up feel so good. We take pride in every cup, each one needs to be perfect.
Now with our small team, Pophams is committed to becoming a part of the fabric of Islington's diverse community, and hopes to offer some peace in the midst of bustling London.
